Here is some important information about locations, directions, and public transport.

You can find the Hegelstraße building where most workshops will take place at the top left corner of the map!

Public Transport:
To plan trips by public transport you can download the app “Mainzer Mobilität”. You can also purchase day tickets for public transport through the app. However, we recommend you get a “Wochenkarte” (weekly ticket) which you can use for local public transport all week. These tickets can be bought at ticket machines at bus stops or at the DB center at the central station.
Directions to Hegelstraße
All workshops take place in Hegelstraße 59, 55122 Mainz
You can take the following bus/tram lines to get to Hegelstraße:
- Trams – get off at “Friedrich-von-Pfeiffer Weg”: 51, 53, 59
- Busses – get off at “Friedrich-von-Pfeiffer Weg”: 54, 55, 58, 93, 630
- Bus – get off at “Hegelstraße”: 6, 91
Walk from Tram/Bus Stop “Friedrich-von-Pfeiffer Weg” to Hegelstraße 59:
- Take Tram 51, 53, 59 or Bus 54, 55, 58 to the Stop “Friedrich-von-Pfeiffer Weg”
- If you have taken a Tram, please cross the bridge. If you have taken a Bus, you are already on the correct side of the road
- At the end of the bridge there is a small path into a neighborhood, please follow this path and then turn left onto Eichendorffstraße.
- Take the next street to your right (Eichendorf
- straße) or the next (Mörikestraße) or the small foot path further down to connect to Hegelstraße.
- Turn left onto Hegelstraße and keep walking to building Nb. 59, a taller, grey building
Walk from Bus Stop “Hegelstraße” to Hegelstraße 59:
- Take the Bus number 6 to the stop “Hegelstraße”
- When getting of the bus, walk down Hegelstraße to your left to building Nb. 59, a taller, grey building
Directions to “Alte Mensa”
Johann-Joachim-Becher-Weg 3-5, 55128 Mainz
You can walk from Hegelstraße to Alte Mensa. Please follow our guides and/or check the Campus Map. This is a 20-minute walk. Alternatively, you can take a Tram or Bus.
From Hegelstraße
- Walk to the tram and bus stop “Friedrich-von-Pfeiffer Weg”
- Cross the bridge
- Take any Tram or Bus to the stop “Universität” (this is the next stop)
- From the stop “Universität” walk across the square towards the archway that leads to the Campus
- After walking through the archway, turn left and walk to the building the at the end of the square; this already is the “Alte Mensa”
- To get into the “Alte Mensa” please walk up the stairs of the building
From the city
- Take the Tram to the stop “Universität” and walk across the square towards the archway that leads to the Campus
- After walking through the archway, turn left and walk to the building the at the end of the square; this already is the “Alte Mensa”
- To get into the “Alte Mensa” please walk up the stairs of the building
Directions to “NatFak”

You can walk from Hegelstraße to NatFak. Please follow our guides and/or check the Campus Map. This is a 20-minute walk. Alternatively, you can take a Tram or Bus.
From Hegelstraße
- Walk to the tram and bus stop “Friedrich-von-Pfeiffer Weg”
- Cross the bridge
- Take any Tram or Bus to the stop “Universität” (this is the next stop)
- Walk across the square towards the archway that leads to the Campus
- After walking through the archway, turn left and walk to the building at the end of the square, the “Alte Mensa”
- At the “Alte Mensa” turn right and keep walking, until you see a low building with a curved roof (this is the “Muschel”)
- Turn left at the building with the curved roof (“Muschel”) and walk into the high building in front of you; this is the NatFak
From the city
- Take the Tram to the stop “Universität” and walk across the square towards the archway that leads to the Campus
- After walking through the archway, turn left and walk to the building at the end of the square, the “Alte Mensa”
- At the “Alte Mensa” turn right and keep walking, until you see a low building with a curved roof (this is the “Muschel”)
- Turn left at the building with the curved roof (“Muschel”) and walk into the high building in front of you; this is the NatFak
Directions to “Grüner Kakadu”
Gutenbergpl. 3-5, 55116 Mainz
- Take a Bus to the stop “Mainz Höfchen”: Busses 28, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 60, 62, 63, 65, 68, 70, 71, 78, 79, 80, 81, 90, 91, 93
- Walk across the big square in the direction of “Schillerplatz”, away from the cathedral
- Pass the theatre on your right
- You will see a glass front on a building on the right side of the square, this is where Conference Dinner will take place
